The Discovery II was the first SUV to use airbag suspension and an optional cornering enhancement system known as ACE. Unfortunately, Land Rover killed off some of the features that Land Rover enthusiasts loved such as the center differential lock. In 2004 Land Rover ended the Discovery II, which was replaced by the much less loved LR3.

I have a 52 plate discovery 2 with rear air suspension. over the past few weeks the suspension has been occasionally dropping when left. Sounds like you asked it to go down, which it did. But then couldn’t pump up after. You may have a leaky bag, but you need to get some air first.

That procedure can sometimes reset warning lights. The procedure is as below. Hard Reset Instructions. In brief, to start the hard reset process, open the hood but close all doors and let your 3 go to sleep - no radio display etc and no key in the ignition. This will take a couple of minutes and do not open any doors until the reset is completed.
Step 1: Turn off the ignition and ensure the Range Rover is on level ground. Step 2: Locate the air suspension switch in the driver’s side footwell or glove box. Step 3: Press and hold the switch for 10 seconds until the indicator light turns off. Step 4: Release the switch and wait for the indicator light to turn back on.

2002 disco II hard to start if it sits 15minutes. It takes 3 or 4 cranks to get started. Once started it runs great and there are no fault codes. Posted by Anonymous on Sep 30, 2010.
